Fitting Your Body TypeAverage Body - Type A![]() Body Type A describes someone with an average build. A man with this body type has a normal drop and rise. Although the size for this body type may vary from 34 all the way to 46, the proportions in width, depth, and height will be fairly consistent. Example Measurements:
Slender Body - Type B![]() Body Type B describes an individual with a slender build. A man with this build is usually slim all over, through his chest, waist, seat and thigh. He has an average drop but a short rise. The figure to the right illustrates this second body type.
Portly Body - Type C![]() The third body type describes an individual with a portly or plump figure. Often, older men who have lost bulk in the shoulder and chest areas and gained bulk through the waist and abdomen fall into this category. Men with this body type usually have small drop (because of their smaller chest size) and wear high rise pants (because of the additional weight they carry through their waist and abdomen).
Athletic Body - Type D![]() This body type is the hardest type to fit because of the difference in proportions between the area above the waist and the area below the waist. Men who fall into this category are generally larger and more muscular above the waist and slimmer from the waist down.
