Customer Service and Sales Standards
Professional Level Customer Service Standards
- Thank you and anniversary cards - Send continued correspondence such as thank you notes and anniversary cards.
- Become involved in customer service issues - Be proactive, not reactive. Never look for someone to blame. Turn the solution into an opportunity. DO NOT SAY, "There's nothing I can do about it." Look for creative solutions to customer issues.
- Ask for referrals - Ask your customers for referrals. Who do they know that is getting married? What special events are their clubs and organizations planning for the future?
- Stay with customer from beginning to end - Walk the customer to the dress room. Remove the garment bag and hang it over the door with the rental ticket printout hanging on the outside of the door. Check up on your customer and offer assistance with the vest, tie, studs and links, etc. Let your customer know that you care how his tuxedo fits, and that you are there to make him look good.
