About 7:30 on a Friday night I got a phone call at home from the shopping center security office. A groom had shown up at the store with several members of his family that had just flown in. He didn’t know we closed at 6:00 and was frantic. The group needed to get their tuxedos so they could leave town in the morning. He pounded on the store door and then flagged down the security office driving by. The officer spent 20 minutes trying to locate my phone number. By that time the groom was a total basket case. He was sure there was nothing that could be done and didn’t know what to tell his bride. I let the security officer know I would meet them at the store in 30 minutes. When I got there there were two car loads of people waiting for me. Everyone got their tuxedos and thanked me repeatedly for saving the day.
